Evidence Locker is a dedicated workspace for material you are authorised to provide. Every item is captured read-only, SHA-256 hashed when it arrives, and recorded in a tamper-evident custody ledger before review or disclosure begins.
Source access is read-only. The locker never sends, deletes or modifies source material.
Evidence infrastructure
Preservation is deliberately separated from drafting and research. Downstream work can use an approved record without altering the evidence layer.
Each item receives a SHA-256 digest when it reaches the locker. Original bytes are stored separately from review and evidence manifests.
A hash-chained ledger records capture, access, review, checkpoints and disclosure. A changed event makes verification fail visibly.
Counsel releases Bates-labelled evidence manifests to a chosen audience. Only records currently marked relevant are eligible, and future portal access can be withdrawn.
Workflow
The integrity path does not depend on AI. Search and discovery can be additive, but capture, hashing and custody remain deterministic.
Open a matter, upload files or connect an available source. Authorisation and acquisition are recorded.
Original bytes are digested and custody-logged. Counsel classifies items and creates Bates-labelled evidence manifests.
Release only selected manifests, re-walk the event chain and record a checkpoint for the collection state.

Identical bytes resolve to one stored blob while every source and custody event remains separately recorded.
Capture, hashing and custody are deterministic code. Semantic discovery is additive and never part of an integrity digest.
